For observatories, astro-tourism guides and dark-sky routes

Online booking for your stargazing evening

A stargazing session depends on the sky: it only makes sense to run one when there's a clear forecast and a favorable moon phase, and real capacity is set by the telescopes you have, the permit for the Starlight reserve or dark-sky protected area you work in, or simply the small group needed so everyone actually gets a good look. Sending last-minute weather updates by WhatsApp or calls is manageable with a handful of sessions, but gets messy on new-moon nights when everyone wants the same slot.

The usual pattern for an astro-tourism guide or observatory is splitting bookings across calls, WhatsApp messages and Instagram comments, deciding almost daily whether that night's session is actually happening based on the forecast. That works with a handful of sessions, but once a group wants to gift an experience without a fixed date while another asks if two more people can join the next new moon, it's easy to lose track of how many telescopes or eyepieces you actually have available.

What changes with your own page

  • You publish each session on the specific nights you decide to run it — with a clear forecast and favorable moon phase — without having to keep availability open year-round.
  • Customers pay by card when they book, instead of depending on loose WhatsApp confirmations for a night plan that depends on the weather.
  • The voucher separates the gift purchase from each month's real availability, which gets sorted once they actually book a night.
  • You know in advance how many people are coming to each session, without going over the telescopes or eyepieces you actually have available.

The demo uses a surf school as its example, but the flow — pick a slot, see the spots left, pay — is the same one you'd apply to a stargazing night, an astrophotography route, or an evening at a Starlight-certified site, each with its own capacity based on the telescopes or permit available that night.
